On 25 November 2021, Research Institute for Health Sciences (RIHS) organized the Research & Social Services Meeting with Walailak University’s President, and the research department heads for the first time of fiscal year 2022. The agenda began with good news from Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, the President, that the number of published articles in 2021 has exponentially reached 491 compared to the year 2016, and he believed the figure would go up to 500 articles by the end of this year. Furthermore, 78.9% of those published articles were in Q1 and Q2 international journals. Consequently, Walailak University has taken another step to its academic success by becoming the second position in the National Institution Ranking.
In addition to the number of publications reported. In this fiscal year, most schools and colleges had made the satisfying progress on individual research publication and incentive programs in order to drive the researcher’s engagement in research activities, which resulted in the great deal of productivity in publication as well as a contribution to higher education communities and public services.
