Research Institute for Health Science, Walailak University has acquired Leica SP 5 II, a confocal laser scanning microscope.
Leica TCS SP5 II Confocal advanced a wide range of confocal and multiphoton imaging. With a full array of scan speeds at the highest resolution, the system offers bright, noise-free images with minimal photo damage at high speed due to its high-efficiency SP detection (five channels concurrently) and optional AOBS (Acousto-Optical Beam Splitter).
As a consequence, it may be broadly applied in biological studies ranging from cellular biology, genes, and also macromolecular biology, especially for the studies that require high-resolution images and the ability to capture only the focused area by specifying the required sample layer depth.
