Multidisciplinary Fieldwork for Chronic Care Model at Koh Samui, Suratthani

On October 26th, 2021, Asst. Prof. Dr. Udomsak Seangow, director of Research Institute for Health Sciences (RIHS), organized a fieldwork program to search for further research problems regarding Chronic Care model (CCM) for Koh Samui residents. Financially supported by Health Systems Research institute (HSRI), the fieldwork is conducted with the cooperation of 5 research teams from Walailak University’s Health Sciences Schools, consisting of Dr. Sasithorn Thanapop, an associate professor in School of Public Health, Dr. Gorawit Yusakul, an assistant professor in School of Pharmacy, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jiraphat Nawarat along with Dr.Charupa Lektip from School of Allied Health, Dr. Chaowanan Khundam from Schools of Informatics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siwarit Pongsakornrungsilp, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimlapas Pongsakornrungsilp, Dr. Wasin Praditsilp, and Teerada Cattapan from School of Management.

Additionally, with the close cooperation with Koh Samui Hospital board directors, including Dr. Teerasak Luengrittiwut, the vice president, Dr. Phakhawat Phrompet, Dr. Chittima Musikphan, Dr. Salisa Lobuyo, Dr. Boonkul Lokaphan, Dr. Naruedol Jinkan, Dr. Nisa Limsuwan, and the members of “hundreds thousand bed” project team on their Chronic Care model, RIHS and the research teams are allowed to access and examine the data related to management system of Chronic care, which implement a future systematic development suitable for patients with chronic illness under an on-going project entitled “Regional Public Health Conference and Capacity Building for Health System.”
