On December 28, 2021, Asst. Prof. Dr. Udomsak Saengow, Director of Walailak University’s Research Institute for Health Sciences, held a special lecture training session on Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis via an online Zoom conference at Tumbang Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Administration Building.
Prof. Dr. Wanna Churit, Vice President, Walailak University, welcomed the speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanyarat Anothaisintawee, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sasivimol Rattanasiri, and all lecturers who attended the training. She expressed gratitude to the Research Institute for Health Sciences and a team that organized a workshop on Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis for faculty members of Walailak University. It was an honor to have two experienced, knowledgeable, and competent lecturers present information to faculty members for one day, and to know that approximately 150 lecturers from various schools attended that training session.
Prof. Dr. Wanna Churit stated that she was able to review information about systematic literature reviews and meta-analysis work. The majority of the events are designed to provide answers to clinical questions. There is a system in place for asking questions as well as a review of documents from recently published works, publications of high quality, and be aware that there is a standardized workflow when conducting Systematic reviews. As a result, she understands that the principle can be applied to many sciences, not just the clinical field. She was also pleased to have teachers from a variety of schools whether in terms of management, architecture, design, or engineering. Those who participated in the training at the time wanted the time they spent training to be beneficial to everyone. She desired that everyone apply what they had learned to their benefit. Finally, she thanked the two speakers for taking the time to educate the teachers and wished success and fulfillment to the organizers, speakers, and participants. She then launched the training event.
This project aims to improve researchers’, professors’, students’, and interested medical personnel’s knowledge and understanding of systematic literature review and meta-analysis Participants can apply the knowledge they have gained properly. Furthermore, the participants can generate more research results. The topics of this training included Review methodology by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanyarat Anotaisinthavee and Meta-analysis of dichotomous outcomes by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sasiwimon Rattanasira, as well as questions and answers and knowledge exchange throughout the training.
Assoc. Prof. Udomsak Saengow, Director of the Research Institute for Health Sciences, thanked Lecturers from the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital for being a guest lecturer with Walailak University for the second time, and he hoped that this special lecture would be useful to all attendees and lead to an increase in the number of Systematic Reviews research, as well as announcing the completion of the training project.
